Daniel Figgins Ph.D., North Carolina State University

As Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University, Daniel Figgins teaches courses in International Environmental Treaties, International Law, Foreign Policy, and Latin America Politics. In his twenty-five years with the US State Department, he served in Washington DC, Mexico, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. He was Officer-in-Charge, UN Industrial Development Organization and the UN Institute for Training and Research in Washington DC and Vienna, Austria. From 1986 to 1989, he was US Permanent Representative to the UN Environment Program (UNEP) and the UN Center for Human Settlements (HABITAT) in Nairobi, Kenya.
